So, here it is a week away from the beginning of a journey that will
result in over two years in the West African country of Burkina Faso.
It is about entering the Peace Corps and after a few months of training ... living
and working with the Burkinabe.
But for now, it's just about preparing, organizing and trying to anticipate what is
needed for the next two years. Mostly it's the sort of items that are easily
accessible here, as opposed to over in Burkina.
I prefer to travel and live light when in Africa and there are a few tough decisions
to be made during the packing process. If I could do it, I'd have all in one carryon
sized backpack.
